Meet Joshua Kamalendran, a junior student in the IBT program. Some of his favorite hobbies besides art are sports such as basketball and volleyball. He also greatly enjoys the outdoors, biking, hiking and fishing. Learning about new technology and inventions is also one of his interests. Joshua started playing instruments at the age of eight, beginning with piano lessons. He then continued his love for music by learning the trumpet and violin. He also took up the drums and guitar for five whole years. Although he recently started learning the alto saxophone and the flute, Joshua’s favourite instrument to play is the violin because of its versatility and playability in all genres.
Meet Garima Gosain, a senior student in the IBT program. Creating human portraits is one of her biggest strengths, but she enjoys a wide range of art styles. Reading online comics and spending time in natural spaces are some of her hobbies. Some of her favorite styles of art are Claude Monet’s impressionism, surrealism, and illustrations by varying manga artists. She was originally inspired by one of her favorite YouTubers, making art one of her most prominent interests ever since she was young. Garima wants to continue to grow in art and eventually start selling her work, but is not pursuing further studies in the subject.
