One of the best and most beloved staff members in the Business department at North Park Secondary School is Ms. Hillary McKay. She was born and raised in Etobicoke, Ontario and is part Scottish and part Belgian. Ms. McKay currently teaches Grade 10 (IBT) Business and International Business (BTT). She plays a vital role in DECA, which is a club that helps students prepare future entrepreneurs and build leadership skills. Ms. McKay enjoys the competitive aspects of life. She enjoys fitness-related activities such as long distance running and cardio training in the gym. Ms. McKay participated in many competitions related to running long distances including the annual Boston Marathon in Canada. If you have ever had a class with her, you’ve definitely heard of her love for cardio. Michael Jackson has always been her favorite singer and she often acknowledges Michel Jackson as being very talented. “Thriller” by Michel Jackson is her favorite song. Ms. McKay was very appreciative during the interview and loved sharing her interests.
