On April 9th, the grade 10 students at North Park Secondary School, who will be participating in the upcoming Funplex event, were given the opportunity to dive into the business world by going to Playdium. Playdium is a family entertainment center which offers an eccentric variety of arcade fashioned games and a place to make memorable experiences.

During their visit to Playdium, the grade 10s were given a presentation by the manager of the Playdium in which they learned about the financial and managerial side to Playdium that often goes unseen. The grade 10s were able to take advantage of this opportunity by applying the information that they learned to their Funplex projects.

Students, such as Avnoor Buttar, were appreciative of the information that they were able to learn from the presentation. Buttar stated, “The information that they gave us was really useful to our Funplex ideas. I feel like I could make my idea a reality because of the presentation”!

Following the presentation, the business classes got to have some fun and spend their time playing arcade games. Many students agreed that it was a very enjoyable experience. Adi, a grade 10 student who attended the trip expressed that, “It was a lot of fun, I didn’t even want to leave”. The students favorite games were picklock and the basketball shooting game.

Many Playdium employees got to witness playful laughs of joy, and the grade 10s got to experience why customers love Playdium so much while having a ton of fun!
