Teaching at North Park for almost 23 years, Ms. Wieczorek is an admirable science teacher who shows her passion for teaching and interests in the science field. She originally wanted to go into the private health sector and work with people. She decided to eventually go into teaching, where she now teaches grade 11 and 12 biology, as well as grade 9 science. She said if she was not teaching, you would find her working in something related to public health.
Her excellence in science during high school led to her now teaching courses in that discipline at North Park. When asked what other course she’d be interested in teaching, she mentioned she would teach math, as it is not subjective, but would not enjoy teaching English.
Ms. Wieczorek enjoys outdoor activities, and often brings in items she found in nature to show to her class. She also enjoys being active and spending time with her family.
She was asked what message she would like to give to students, to which she replied, “Work as hard as you can to your ability, and pursue your interests.” She continues to inspire young minds and tell funny science-related jokes to her students.
