North Park’s senior boys volleyball team recently climbed the ranks to reach the semi-finals of the Fletcher’s Tournament held at Fletcher’s Meadow Secondary School. After securing victories against Humberview and Jean Augustine, the team had a tough match with Rick Hansen on October 4th, 2024, where they ultimately lost 15 to 25.
After interviewing Mr. Croft about the strengths and weaknesses of the team, he had the following to say, “We sometimes struggled with our serving … our passing definitely improved throughout the year … we also had great leadership on the court from Lucas.” Lucas Sanchez is the volleyball team’s captain who was also interviewed.
Sanchez said, “Lots of bad.. but more good … We learned how to work with each other and we learned how we played best. Moving forward into next year, I think more practice knowing how each other plays and having a deeper understanding of offensive and defensive plays/tactics will help take North Park volleyball to the next level.”
The entire team performed exceptionally well, representing our school with pride. Wishing them the best in their future tournaments where they’ll continue to showcase our school’s talent and dedication to volleyball.
