Navroop Mondair stands out as one of the most hard-working and ambitious people within our school. She is currently the president of the Debate and Speech Club, an Equity Officer for the Model UN Executive Committee, a DECA trainer, an executive for the Announcement Crew, and a member of the musicals’ backstage/decorations team.
According to Navroop, every club she has participated in has influenced her high school experience. DECA, Model UN, and Debate Club, for example, have increased her ability to think on her feet and deliver great presentations to convey her arguments.
Announcements have improved her tone of voice and flow of speech, which is useful for all academic clubs or public speaking in general.
While she finds interest and excels in all areas of science, including chemistry and physics, her main goal for the future is to pursue a business career. She plans on looking into private equity and financial analysis with a bachelor’s and master’s in commerce, along with a dual degree in English, Anthropology or Political Science/History before anchoring back to teaching in the far future.
Even though she had doubts about enrolling in this school, Mondair has stated that “The group of friends I met here are some of the most supportive people I have ever met in my life. Same thing about the teachers. When I look back at my time here and think about the next year, I know that I have achieved so much with the help of my friends and teachers and will continue to achieve as much until I leave this school.”
Congrats to Mondair on all her achievements, and we wish her the best for the future.
