The Class of 2025’s grad breakfast was full of fun, excitement, and nostalgia. Waffles, wraps, and fresh fruit were served up to the graduates. Games like ‘Guess the Baby’ were played, and fun awards were presented by SAC, such as ‘Best Smile,’ won by Makayla Hopkins, and ‘Most Likely to Be Famous,’ awarded to Tryston Hall-Luckman. Not only did Hall-Luckman receive an award, he was also announced as this year’s valedictorian.
Hall-Luckman shared that he was unsure of his future when he first started high school, but the courses he took helped guide him toward mechanical engineering. “I was inspired by my classes; they really helped me figure out what I wanted to do. But it hasn’t always been easy, grade 12 physics was a challenge. Still, I pushed through with support, and I was also pretty motivated by the salary.”
Challenges come with the journey, but Ethan Ranstoller offered some helpful advice: “My advice to future graduates or anyone in high school is to learn how to actually study and find what works for you. Once you do, things get a lot easier. I’d also say put yourself out there. Making connections is really important.”
John Urquhart kept it short and honest: “Don’t procrastinate. You will suffer.”
It’s clear the Class of 2025 has grown, learned, and laughed a lot. Graduation is only the beginning.
