The Student Activity Council hosted the annual Food Truck Festival on April 25, 2025, bringing an exciting day of delicious food and fun activities to school grounds, for all to enjoy.

The activities included a bean bag toss tournament, a basketball competition, and a race across the inflatable obstacle course. The festival also gave everyone a chance to try new types of food, ranging from Mexican, Middle-Eastern, American, and so much more. Of course, the highlight of the event was the free ice cream and the vibrant stalls run by students. All profit from the event was donated to support an important cause.

The atmosphere was filled with laughter, energy, and music. Students were seen lining up to earn prizes by participating in the various competitions. “The bouncy castle race was hilarious; my friends and I couldn’t stop laughing. I think I lost, but it was totally worth it,” said an excited grade 10 student. The wide range of activities encouraged students of all grades, and their families to participate, making it a fun, inclusive, and successful festival.

Reflecting on the purpose behind the festival, a SAC representative shared, “Knowing the money is going to a good cause made it even more worth it. We got to have fun and help people at the same time.”

With the mix of food, music, and entertainment, the festival was enjoyed by all. The efforts of the Student Activity Council were definitely worth it, allowing students and their families to experience a fun event together and also reminding us of the impact students can make when they come together for a good cause.
